The Club offers comprehensive facilities for yachtsmen and dinghy sailors, including both racing and cruising, and owns a well appointed Club House located in a beautiful situation on the South-West bank of the River Orwell, between Ipswich and Harwich on the North Sea coast of England. The Club has its own expanded Marina facilities in front of the Clubhouse.
Adjacent to the Club House is the historic 18th Century "Cat House" originally built as a Folly, but now a pleasant residence which shares with the Royal Harwich wonderful views across the Orwell and downriver towards Pin Mill.
There is a very active and competitive keelboat fleet, lively Junior and Family sailing, an extensive Training programme, and a very active and expanding Cruise in Company programme for Yacht owners.
