JOINING THE ROYAL HARWICH YACHT CLUB

We are pleased to receive applications for membership - you can either e-mail the Club Secretary or telephone on 01473 780319
to request an Application form, or download and print it yourself (see below), then complete the form and follow the steps below.

Click to download Application form in RTF format (which suits most word processors - and with this format it is hard for viruses to hide inside).

1. If you already know another Club member to propose you, please ask them to complete the relevant section of the form and post it to the Club Secretary.  If you do not know any member to propose you, please post the application form to the Club Secretary who will arrange for a member of the General Committee to contact you and agree a mutually convenient date and time to meet, after which they would put your application forward.

2. Subscriptions and other facility charges are collected annually, either, by a single payment by cheque, or direct debit on or shortly after 1st March. Alternatively payments may be made in four equal instalments by direct debit on or shortly after 1st March, 1st May, 1st July and 1st September with a 5% surcharge.
In addition, there is a Joining Fee of 30% of the relevant subscription, payable on joining the Club.

3. The membership year runs from 1 January to 31 December. New members' subscriptions will be billed on election. Joiners during the year pay 1/12 subscription per month as appropriate.

4. Moorings, Dinghy Park, Outboard Store, Laying Up Spaces and use of the Pressure Washer attract additional charges. When necessary new members will be placed on the appropriate waiting list.  Club Fleet dinghies, i.e. Optimists, Toppers, Lasers, National 12s and Wayfarers will take priority.

5. Members, whose boats qualify, may apply for a Permit to fly the Club’s defaced Blue Ensign.
