TRAINING INFORMATION

The Club is an RYA recognised Training School, providing courses for people aged 16+  in Powerboat levels 1,2 and Safety Boat.

The Club offers a number of training courses for its Members.  Courses in 2007 include:

• Race Officer training.
• Safety boat training.
• Powerboat Level 2.
• VHF/DSS Radio courses.
• Radar Courses
• RYA Coastal Skipper/Yachtmaster theory.
• RYA Dayskipper theory.
• RYA Sea Survival
• RYA Marine Short Range Certificate
• Diesel Engine Maintenance
• "Suddenly Alone" Courses, ashore and afloat
• First Aid.
• Adult Sailing courses.

Junior Training is organised each year. This year 2 weeks have been arranged, the first from Monday 28th May to Friday 1st June. The second is from Monday 30th July to Friday 3rd August.

In addition there is the ever popular Junior Racing Week from 28th August until 31st August which is an Open Regatta for under 18s.
